Thank you for taking a few minutes to look at my website. I am a Texas-Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Board-certified supervisor. I earned my Bachelors’ Degree in Special Education from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago; my Master’s Degree in Counseling and my Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have more than 19 years of clinical experience working with a variety of clients and client problems including substance use & misuse, trauma, relationship conflict, intimate partner violence, vulnerable populations such as individuals who are homeless, LGBTQ+ youth, and those with serious mental illness. In addition, I am a member of Give an Hour, providing pro bono counseling to military personnel and their families. Furthermore, I am a counselor for Thrive Youth Center working with LGBTQ+ homeless youth. I have done volunteer work with marginalized populations in Morocco, Cuba, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
